![]() Under Arizona law, any firework that goes into the air - Roman candles, bottle rockets, aerial firework shells - is generally illegal unless part of an approved, professional display. Tempe and Phoenix will not put on their events this year. Buckeye, Chandler, and Mesa will have drive-in events, Scottsdale is offering both drive-in and in-person, and Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Goodyear, Peoria, Surprise, and others will have traditional in-person events. This year, events will be drive-in, in person, and a mix of both. Many events were canceled last year because of the pandemic, while others transitioned to a drive-in format. PHOENIX - Fireworks will light the skies this weekend to celebrate America's Independence Day as cities across the Valley again plan to host Fourth of July festivities.
